A 2-year-old child presented during summers with itchy, painful, erythematous crusted plaques on the back and extremities, along with multiple pus-filled flaccid bullae (hypopyon sign), for one week. Bathing habits were inadequate. He was afebrile and comfortable. Gram-positive cocci in clusters were noted in microscopy from pus. Staphylococcus aureus was isolated on culture. He was treated as bullous impetigo, with oral amoxicillin for 7 days, with complete resolution.
