Abstract
Acral neutrophilic dermatosis is a localized variant of Sweet syndrome in which cutaneous manifestations are predominantly
restricted to the dorsal area of the hands. It is often misdiagnosed as an infectious process in most cases, and treatment is often
delayed. We present the case of a 75-year-old Mexican woman with clinical characteristics of a respiratory infection and the
development of acral dermatosis, which represents a diagnostic challenge.
